Next week I'm having some girlfriends over for
Friday Night Happy Hour
The weather looks like it will be nice so we'll be able to spend the evening outdoors on our patio.
We will enjoy an outdoor fire, munchies and cocktails.

I LOVE to entertain this time of year!
{yes, they can be redeemed Friday night :) }
I thought it would be fun to "treat" the girls to something fun rather than just a random email inviting them over for the evening.
Hey, kids can't have all the fun of the season.
These brought a smile to their faces.

Last year for Halloween I made up s'more bags using the ghost Peeps.
My students and neighborhood childrened loved them.

{so darn cute!}
Yep, I'll be making those again this year as they were a huge hit!
Since it's not quite Halloween, I tried to go with just a pumpkin theme and use orange and brown {it looks black in the photos} ribbons.
I used what I already had on hand.

The actual invitation is somewhat hidden in the photo since I didn't want my personal information shown for all to see. I used a pumpkin die cut {orange with white polka dots} and printed the time and date in brown ink.
Fun and festive!
For safety purposes {ha,ha} I tested these out ;)
yummy!

You have such cute and creative ideas. I'm not a fan of the "Peeps" candy at all, but the way you have included them in the invite is so perfect. Very cute.
I love the white pumpkins, where do you buy those?
Very cute idea. Love the jack-o peeps too. :)
i love this idea. i am going to copy. we have a BIG halloween party for andrew's friends (the entire 3rd and 4th grade) coming up and i wanted an easy treat to give them. i was going to bake, but i have a feeling this would be a bigger hit and a bit easier on me too! thanks, jo!! xo, Tessa
I love this idea! I think my students will love it, too! What would i do without all your fun recipes and ideas?
So cute! I bet you are the hit on the block! Can't wait to see pictures! Your Fall party was so cute last year!

Love the orange pumpkin peeps - what a great idea for smores this time of year... I am still trying to resist the candy corn until I can make the Halloween bark candy I saw on pinterest.
What a fun party!

What a cute idea! I was just at Fresh Market and saw that they had those adorable pumpkin peeps. It's those little details that makes everything so much more festive.
Hope you had a fabulous time with the girls.
Hugs,
Gigi
Oh look how CUTE you are, you are such a fun friend!! These are ADORABLE!!!
Looks super fun! I wish we lived closer, but then again we might be partying all the time! Enjoy the run up to the party!
I love your header...so cute! Thanks for linking up to the Creative Genius Link Party! Don't forget to link up again Friday!
This is my favorite time of year to entertain as well. Love the s'mores idea...am stealing it!!
I feel your southern fall wardrobe pain... LOVE pumpkin flavor, too! And I especially love the peep idea!!!
Do you include microwave instructions or do we just assume everyone knows what to do....I would think just a few seconds in the microwave for melting the chocolate and the peeps.
Ellis ~
You could put them in the microwave (a few seconds I would think) or you could roast them over a fire. They work just like a s'more. Enjoy!
Jo
Everything you brought to the neighbors sounds fantastic. You can move in next to me! My next door neighbor just turned 93 on Friday. We are having the neighborhood over for cake and ice cream on Wednesday. He and his wife still live at home and care for all of their yard. He is definitely more frail this year, but what an example they are.
I am drooling over the pumpkin cinnamon rolls! And yes, I am back. It's been a rough summer and fall and I've just gotten the slight urge to get back in the game. BTW, I still have the sweet card you sent earlier. Still makes me smile...
