A white Halloween!
{not really music to my ears}

Autumn 2011 025

The day started out gloomy

Changed over to rain

then

Slushy rain

and finally ...

Snow!

Autumn 2011 039

I must admit that I'm not even the slightest bit excited about the white stuff falling from the sky.

We never even had a fall this year. I feel cheated out of my favorite season.

It has gone from the dog  days of summer to a winter wonderland almost over night!

Autumn 2011 037

Due to the hurricane {a mere few weeks ago} our trees are all out of sorts. Most of the trees in our area are still hanging on to all their leaves. Usually most leaves have fallen by now and the branches are bare.

Branches full of leaves + heavy snow = no power

Autumn 2011 034

The only one, in my home, that was excited to play in the white stuff falling from the sky was Bentley. He was looking at Bozley trying to convince him to join in the fun.

Bozley, sharing my thoughts, looked at him like he was CRAZY!

This morning I awoke at 5am to the sound of snow plows ~ ugh!
We had a very bright white view from the window ~ double ugh!

I am praying this isn't an indication of what is in store for us this winter!

I have seen loads of pics from bloggers in the snow storm and it's just crazy! It's a beautiful autumn day here tho we did get some hail yesterday afternoon. I remember tho, having to wear a snowsuit under my costume when I was little ;o)

I am so with you! I feel like we really got cheated out of Fall this year, too! We don't have snow yet but as soon as your leaves started changing we had really high wind forces that took all the leaves off before we had a chance to enjoy them. I am not looking forward to winter at all! xo Diana

Oh my goodness, Jo! You have had the craziest weather. You really did skip fall! We have had the most beautiful sunny, crisp cold weather. I don't know what's going on! I'm sure the gloomy grey days are on their way, but I'm loving every second in the meantime. So sorry winter has struck early for you. :( Perhaps some Christmas music is in order? If you can't beat them, join them! :)

Yes, I had heard about this freak storm. We ended up getting a bit of snow here too, but it's melted off. I hope the weather improves for you so that you can enjoy fall and not charge right into winter.

It's so surreal to see pictures, I just can't get over that it's SNOWING ~ didn't it just STOP snowing, like, a month or two ago?!!!

ps I'm sad that you weren't able to enjoy Fall ~ maybe it will warm up again or something crazy like that....it is New England after all. :)

So hard to fathom snow at this time of the year. We are still having tmeps in 60's and 70's here in the south. Not to rub it in! lol But that is why I love living in the south. However, the white blanket of snow really is gorgeous!

It is pretty... In a surreal sort of way! I'm guessing it is just slushy by now. I know it's not the Halloween you were looking forward to, but now what a crazy story you have to share in the future!

Thanks for your sweet comments. It's has been quite a fall down here... xox

Hi Jo,

So sorry to hear that you have been cheated of Fall.
We have a windy, rainy day over here.
Hope that you have a lovely week and the weather warms up.

Hugs

no matter what you say, i wouldn't trade a fall in new england for anything. however short lived it may be. though snow on halloween is a bit of a downer for the little people!! hope you are staying safe and snug!! xo, tessa

Its crazy isn't it! We have so many leaves left on our trees too. I hadn't been this cold on halloween in a very long time. A bit worried what winter is going to be like too.
My wallpaper is going up on to walls tomorrow...ill show you asap!!

The weather has been crazy that's for certain. We had a cold rain on Saturday and a few days before that warm Santa Ana winds. I wonder how the winter is going to be? Loved your snowy pumpkins though. :)
