Book Swap

It's the perfect season to curl up with a good book!

A few months ago I cleaned up in a Book Swap.

It was great fun and I had 5 new books and only spent a little over $5.00 on postage ~ you can't beat that!

We decided to share this fun with all of you. Jennifer {over at Southern Living: Preppy Style } have teamed up to host another fabulous swap.

The rules are simple and the pleasure of a good book should help get you through the next few cold months ahead.

*Sign up by leaving a comment along with your email address at either blog.

*Sign ups end on Sunday, January 24th, at midnight.

*Partners will be assigned on Monday.

*Only participate if you are serious ~ it's no fun if your partner doesn't follow through.

*Once we partner you up, the two of you should send a list of available books to swap, decide how many, then mail them off.

*Mail your books using "media mail" through your post office.

It's much cheaper and only takes a couple extra days. The savings are worth the wait.

Jammie Swap

Who doesn't love a new pair of jammies?

There are days I look forward to coming home and donning my jammies ~ they are beloved long lost friends after a taxing day!

Truth be told, I just changed out of mine.

Yes, I know it's 4pm in the afternoon on a Saturday.

Yes, I know you probably think I'm lazy.

Yes, I enjoyed every minute.

If we didn't have plans to meet friends for dinner this evening, I'd still be in them!

Just in case you're wondering, no I never leave the house in them.

Book Swap

Just as I was turning the last page of my book, Jennifer decided to host a book exchange. Due to the economy and trying to cut back, she came up with this clever idea. Not only does she have perfect timing, we have similar tastes in reading material.

This was one of the best swaps of all. Jennifer and I simply listed the books we were willing to swap, decided on the number of books, and popped them in the mail. I thought her daughter might need a few new bed times stories so, I added a couple in her package as well.

The best part of all was the price. I received 6 new reads for a mere 5.00 dollars in postage! If you use media postage {only for books, magazines and periodicals} it's SO much cheaper. The Post Office said that it could take up to 2 weeks for delivery but it only took 3 days!

I'm ready for the chilly New England nights snuggled up in a blanket by the fireplace with my new books.
