We've all had this conversation with our husbands ...
I'm always the one behind the camera. When I'm gone {not happening anytime soon} no one is going to remember what I looked like. So, it would be nice if you took some photos while on vacation.
Here is the result of our conversation ...
Try not to laugh too hard
{these pictures remind me of the faces on pain level charts posted on the wall in doctor's office ~ how badly do you feel?}
we had a great evening downtown in Paso Robles. They had live music in their sweet little town square with food, beer, and wine vendors. It was obviously an event that families, neighbors and friends thoroughly enjoy each week. How fun to have this to look forward to every Friday night. Yet another reason to move ;)
I think we need something like this in our town square every Friday night ... right after we get a town square that is!

That is how I feel, I have to ask for someone else to take the pictures from time to time, just so I can be in some of them. You are adorable and I love that tunic you are wearing! Too cute! (Thanks for the comment on my blog, I just used a 18-55mm that day on the beach. All was well and good until Lauren splashed the lens with a huge amount of salt water...)
You are hysterical!!! I am still giggling about the pain comment. I feel the same way in regards to photos. I am not in a single picture from our recent beach trip.
hilarious! I'm never in pictures either.
I think you look great! But yes, you are right. We mamas are never in pictures!
My Mom is looking over my shoulder and wants you to know that you are GORGEOUS and come visit us some time soon.....Better yet, let's all meetu up in France!!! xxoo Andrea & Lori
You look gorgeous Jo! Love the pretty pink.
We have a town square, but it's not that hip. All the men hang out at the town square because right behind it there's a Home Depot.
As for the photos...what are you talking about? You look beautiful in those photos. We are all our own worst critics.
I hate the way my smile looks, I don't like that I look like a football player in photos, I look shorter than I am in photos and my eyes are ALWAYS closed. So there.
Okay, your pain-chart comment made me laugh out loud! You look great in those photos! And love that tunic you're wearing. :)
Jo I agree, and you do look great though. Aren't town square events fun!
Be sure to let me know when you receive your dress!

Jo,
I laughed so hard! We have photos of France, Italy, England and NO people pictures (that's what I call them). Jon takes all the photos...once there was a photo of me in Grand Cayman on a dive boat, putting on my gear and he asked 'who's that', as thought we'd taken a picure of someone we met on the trip. I said 'that's ME'...He at least had the decency to look embarassed.
You look beautiful. You top, your make-up and hair are perfect and your nails and bracelets are lovely. That one is worthy of framing. Jon laughted at your referral to the pain faces at the MD's office...not hardly.
Warmly, Kathleen
Are Kevin and Dan related? First the mustache, now this.
Dan does the SAME thing! He'll fire off 20 pictures in a row of me until I'm laughing and grabbing for the camera (and he's snapping away all the while).
By the way, as of Wed. the mustache is GONE. Could you hear my cheers on the East coast?
Love your top, by the way. Beautiful. Nothing "old lady" about THAT. :)

Hi Jo,
The photos of you are fabulous and you look so pretty in pink.
The town square event looks like fun.
Hope that you are having a lovely weekend
Hugs

oh jo, you have me laughing out loud! just had the same conversation this week. i didn't dare show the ones jimmy took. eyes closed, bra strap showing, double chin, children pulling strange faces, out of focus, etc... you look beautiful!! xo, tessa
I know the feeling. 67 pictures were taken last weekend and I am in 1. Your take on the doc's office images is cute and your vacation sounds wonderful. I love wine country.
Amazing, I grew up in the Paso Robles area. I now live in NW Louisiana which I love, but I do miss PR.
I enjoy your blog!
Okay, first off, these are gorgeous...YOU are gorgeous and these are great pictures of you. And they have nothing to do with a pain chart whatsoever. Secondly, that bright pink is the first thing I noticed and is stunning on you!!
Thirdly, I know what you mean about not being in pictures, I've had to really go out of my way over the last few years to make sure I'm not a missing mama in our photos....even at the expense of not-so-flattering shots, which I'm very good at by the way. :D
Can't wait to see more Cali pics!! With you in them, I hope! :)
Ha, just saw this post title...that is SO not right, these are gorgeous!!! Please tell hubby he did very well! :)
I love your beautiful shells and the hydrangeas are amazing, Jo! The most beautiful things are from nature....xo
Such a pretty top on such a pretty gal. :) There are pictures all over our house with 3 guys in them. I'm convinced generations from now relatives will think my children only had one parent growing up. lol! Good for you. :)
Right- mamas are always on behind the scene. It's you've shared to us some of your photos.
