Have you ever attended Elephant's Trunk in New Milford?

Is it worth the drive?

Are the "treasures" really as great as I've heard and read about?

Any thoughts or helpful hints would be greatly appreciated.

I'm thinking about a road trip this weekend.

Thanks!
Jo

I would SO join you but am bound to the children... There was an Elephant's Trunk in Westchester that was fab... wonder if it is the same. I agree with Mama Henly, sometimes the trip is the fun part. Grab a friend and go!

Let me know if its worth it I am in NY, but not that far from New Milford. I'd be down for a trip if I knew it was worth it. I'll ask around.

I have been to the Elephant's Trunk a few times during the past 5 years or so. I think it is very fun. Like any type of flea market it is hit or miss. But, I have found many fun things (coat rack, night stands, quilts, wall hangings, etc). I think it is worth checking out. Wear comfy sneakers. Get there early. There are plenty of food trucks/stalls (frozen lemonade, snow cones, pretzels, etc.). There are sometimes even some gardeners/farmers who sell veggies, flowers, plants, etc. Great people watching too!

I love it there. I have found wonderful little keys, breakstone boxes, and muffin tins that I turned into a pottery barn type table decoration. I love going there.
I may go next weekend.
Good luck.
