Someone didn't get the memo

Thursday, March 24, 2011 |
I've done my very best to be a good sport

For many months in a row

Really, I have

We've had inches, feet, and mountains of snow this year

Finally, it melted

I was thrilled

Dare I tempt luck for some warm temperatures?

As in anything above 40 degrees

Word cannot describe how I was looking ahead to green grass and bright sunshine

INSTEAD WE AWOKE TO  . . .

Spring showers

As in more snow!

UGH!

I checked, double checked

Ummm, Mother Nature, it's spring

Can we please start acting like it now?

Ugh - you poor thing! Yep, we had 80 degree temps on Wednesday, which dropped to 35 degrees on Thursday. There's now a chance of light snow this weekend, just in time for our daughter's first soccer game. Really??

oh noooo, say it isn't so. It's freezing here again too, but thankfully no more white stuff (for now). Have a wonderful weekend, Jo!

It's warm during the day and then almost 32 degrees at night. OK Al Gore, where's this global warming you've been talking about? I'll have some please!

So sorry you New Englanders have gotten deluged with the white stuff this year!

Ugh! I am SO with you. It is wet and soggy here. No snow, but certainly not spring either. I am longing for sunshine, iced tea and sundresses.

Sigh.

Amen! We are so over this weather. I keep saying, "Oh, I'm sure this is our last of the cold weather." Riiiight.

Oh goodness, I can understand those feelings for sure! I lived in Canada for the first 25 years of my life and it felt like winter was never going to end! My parents are visiting me at the moment, they just dodged another snowstorm and are thankful for 3 weeks in Georgia. Hope spring arrives soon for you and stays put!

I totally agree with you, Jo. Just when you think the snow and cold is over...it's here again!

I am popping over from Melissa's, where you have a feature. You have a new follower! :-)

Surely it won't be much longer! I hope! We are enjoying a beautiful spring in Texas. Just a bit of a cold snap this week, but nothing compared to your part of the world. Found my way here by Melissa's blog. Hoping you get some sunshine and warmth soon. Tanna

YUM! I can't wait to try your recipe! And snow? Boo! It's trying to warm up here (50 today). Jon's aunt, who lives in Mystic, is coming to visit in a few weeks. Will be interested to hear if we are more "springlike" here! Keep your head up...Spring HAS to come! (We hope, right?)
