Summer vacation that is!
I'm counting down the last 17 days of our school year.
I am looking forward to quiet mornings {I have teens who like to sleep past 7am} to myself. I love my time first thing in the morning. It's my time to regroup, plan my day ahead, make my lists and just think without interruptions.
I'm ready for lazy days spent at the beach ~ to time schedule and no rushing around.
My gardens are planted and ready for some steady sunshine {it's been a tad chilly here this spring} so they can stretch out their little leaves and grow!
We had a little taste of summer this past weekend. My children and I went to a local seasonal restaurant. The outdoor kind that serves fresh fish and chips, lobster, clams, and steamers ~ oh so yummy and looking out at the water only adds to the delight. It was a great evening of catching up with them and enjoying what's about to come!
Well, I'm off to check off #17 from my calendar.

Our summer vacation starts on Thursday at 2:30 pm... Not that I'm counting. Hope your summer is wonderful!

Oh, I remember those days when I looked forward to summer vacation. It was over all too soon...LOL I hope get done all that you have planned, as well as spending lots of time devoted to yourself. Do you get a full 3 months, or is it a little shorter? :-) sue
Our kiddos got out almost 2 weeks ago, but they start back very early. Hope you enjoy the summer break!

Hey I know all about that morning "quiet" time. It is pouring here this morning, cut my gardening time short. So nice to have good bloggy friends to come in and say hello to.

Tomorrow is our last day..12:00! I have all the boys from my son's class coming over to swim...I am ready for summer vacation!

We are counting the days here.....two more days of finals and then three days next week and it is officially summer....Cape Cod here we come:)
